how Texas Governor Abbot qualified for his 3rd covid vaccine shot, since I can't yet get one.
Is he even immunocompromised? Or is he just more important than ordinary folks?
Could someone who plays a journalist on TV maybe ask about this?

If you call your doctor I suspect he would give you one in the office, and if you tried through a Walgreens or CVS I would be surprised if they wouldnt give you the booster

(5,065 posts)Boosters at CVS on Sunday. They signed up online for an appt and were in and out in minutes. If theres a CVS or Walgreens close by you might see what they can do for you.
But Im still livid over Abbotts platinum level treatment.

Abbott has told people he received a third booster dose of a vaccine, two sources said. Abbott's office did not respond to a request for comment about a booster shot. Except for people with compromised immune systems, booster shots have not been authorized by the Food and Drug Administration, although the Biden administration is expected to announce a program to administer them soon.
In addition, it was not proper for Greg to get monoclonal antibodies when he had no symptoms.

(5,624 posts)My Aunt who lives in IL, phoned me this morning to share some information she had on the booster shot in her area. We had discussed the possibility of a booster coming down the road earlier last week.
She told me she had phoned her local Walgreens today to inquire about an item she needed and while she was waiting on the phone, the hold message stated that you could get the third vaccine shot now and no appointment was necessary.
I told her that she needed to wait until the 8th month after her second shot, so do nothing right now. That would put them in late October.
So wonder what's up. My thoughts - Perhaps they have a bunch of vaccines about to expire so they're offering them to folks who've been phoning them about a booster?
Anyway, I thought it was weird since FDA hasn't come out with any policy on a shot number 3.
Anyone else heard of this in their area?

often develop various medical problems directly attributable to their condition. I think its the inability to, you know, move.
Having said that, Abbott is still a POS who doesnt care if you die, as long as you me tion him in your will.
It has to be because he is a paraplegic. Spinal cord injuries predisposes one to respiratory illnesses and can be life threatening.
TBS, he can eff off for all I care.
