Newt and Callista Gingrich’s Smiley Auschwitz Photo Is No Fluke

http://www.vanityfair.com/online/daily/2012/01/Newt-and-Callista-Gingrichs-Smiley-Auschwitz-Photo-Is-No-Fluke

The Atlantic unearthed a picture of Newt Gingrich and his third wife, Callista, posing arm in arm in front of Auschwitz. “Newt is wearing his default smirk,” the magazine observes, and says “there is something distinctly off about these tourist-style shots in front of the Nazi death-camp.” It’s not actually that strange: exhaustive research reveals that the Gingrichs often pose—in the same outfits and with these same facial expressions, in fact!—at the sites of many of the world’s great tragedies.

himself (or his minions or whomever).

Regardless, the photos @ the link are shopped and although some think they're in poor taste, I think they show how clueless Newt really is.

Just can't get over this one, though - I'm not saying they wouldn't have their tourist photos taken, just that it LOOKS so fake, you know?

Is a depression mandatory before visiting the place?

Looks like a regular vacation photo, couple with silly grin in odd locations.

My dad was in the Army stationed in Munich at the time. I didn't really understand what it was all about, but I could sense the evil that happened there.

All the times I've gone to Poland, I've managed to evade it, but it took some effort. IMHO, they have turned Oswiecim into the Disneyland of Death.

it's just that the autosmiler that most pols have built didn't respond correctly for the situation. Must have been some kind of cellphone near by, as Newties appears to be malfunctioning as well.
