3. No, It's Russia Using Microwaves and We Need To Respond Forcefully

They've done it on US soil and are attacking US Citizens.

5. Well, that would be the link between these countries.

Having had some personal experience with microwave weapons, I can agree they could be a very big deal.

6. Couple of articles if you're interested:

https://www.popularmechanics.com/military/weapons/a36397283/us-russia-microwave-weapon-attacks-havana-syndrome-explained/

Officials suspect Russia’s GRU spy agency is somehow using a microwave radiation weapon to target U.S. personnel on American soil and abroad, causing neurological-related health issues and brain damage, according to Politico. How such a weapon would work, however, isn’t clear.

https://www.gq.com/story/cia-investigation-and-russian-microwave-attacks

He was a senior CIA official tasked with getting tough on Russia. Then, one night in Moscow, Marc Polymeropoulos's life changed forever. He says he was hit with a mysterious weapon, joining dozens of American diplomats and spies who believe they’ve been targeted with this secret device all over the world—and even at home, on U.S. soil. Now, as a CIA investigation points the blame at Russia, the victims are left wondering why so little is being done to help them.

10. I have seen some of these things up close. Terrifying capabilities.

Even 25 years ago, they were amazing. One could punch a hole through a 1/4" steel plate in microseconds.

Just the leakage from being in the general vicinity caused pulses in my head and a headache. Hate to think what it would be like to be in the direct beam.

11. That GQ article is definitely a keeper.

I hope the CIA's handling of this has changed since tfg is gone. Minimizing or ignoring the injuries done to agents on the job is inexcusable.

2. someone appears to be methodically targeting US personnel

....and we can't seem to get a clue as to who is doing it or what they are doing?

Big bad USA.

9. Lucky you ! I spent 3 months there back in 1996 and was there again in

2006. I loved it, although the first time was on expenses but others did very well on an expat contract. I'll definitely get back some day.
