NPR and Biden speech:

Biden explained (because the MSM will NOT) how TFG and his administration set the rules that Biden inherited. Biden EXPLAINED it and the F'ers at NPR accused Biden of "passing the buck after he said "the buck stops with me".

End of my rant.

2. I saw a similar headline from WaPo about 1.5-2 weeks ago

Ticked me off royally.

It wouldn't have taken very much digging on their part to realize Biden was right.

As I've said a million times before, the media, for some reason, wants very badly to take Biden down a notch.

3. It's Stockholm Syndrome

They're so scared that the right will accuse them of being liberally biased, they have to go out of their way to smear Biden so that the right will continue to want to murder them for being so liberally biased

I just don't get it. No amount of Dem bashing is EVER going to be enough. NPR will do a hatchet job on Joe Biden, but the right will forever call them "Fake News with a liberal bias that is destroying America."

What's even worse is that now, the right can say; "see, even a liberal outlet like NPR is blaming Biden".

4. I don't think they are scared at all. I think NPR et al have

shown us who they are all these years (republicans). Yet we keep saying no, that's not who they are. We keep denying reality. NPR et al are ALL some version of republicans or right wingers.

5. Well, the flagship Public Radio Station WNYC has often liberal, to..

... progressive talkers, programs.

I'm pretty sure Local San Fran, Chicago and others are
similar.

I don't think NPR always sounds rethuglican, either.

7. Probably but it would be nice to have

progressive talkers and programs in states like Ohio, Texas, Georgia, Flori-DUH. Just saying preaching to the choir advances nothing.

13. Hate Radio stations are almost ALL exclusively headquartered in 70-30 Dem majority cities

San Francisco, Cleveland, Atlanta, Seattle, Washington DC, Pittsburgh, Saint Louis, etc.,

They headquarter, broadcast, live and get rich in cities where they spend 24/7 demonizing and dehumanizing 70 percent of the citizens that live there.

Why there are not daily protests by hundreds or thousands of those citizens outside these stations offices on a daily basis is beyond me.

It's just criminally insane.

It's like Goebbels broadcasting a radio show out of Haifa.

14. My local NPR (New York) generally has a both-sidism,

false equivalency narrative. The literary shows are progressive. The news shows are rarely progressive. NPR's (in NYC) version of fairness is both-sideism and false equivalency argument.

19. Why?!! I haven't been listening as closely lately (past 2+ months) because my sleep ..

schedule has been messed up, I try to hear some of the podcasts later....
Been listening to him for 20+? years, even at work when I could. I listen to most of the other programs.

He's one of the most empathetic radio news talkers out there...

He's had for decades for instance now a whiole array of Black Academia -both men & women professors on his show - and not just in Feb. Sometimes other activists as well. Seriously covering BLM since it rose up.

You've never heard while trying to maintain the PR tone heard just a bit of disgust peek through while talking to anti-black, sexist, or anti-Semitic callers?!

One area he was lacking in 15 maybe 10 years ago was
understanding of people living with mental illness.
Then I noticed changes around ?4-5 yrs ago. Waaay more
nuanced, and deeper understanding.

It's true it took him till ? mid 2018, or later to call drumph a liar. Once he did, though, and when drumph was lying from then on Brian never looked back

Maybe there's areas I don't know but ... of what I do know
I definitely dispute your observations.

20. I agree w/your general assessment of Brian

when it comes to the issues you mentioned. I was caught off guard how he understood that there were not really two equal sides to the BLM movement. But generally, there is a tendency for him to be a both side-ism, and false equivalency-ist. I also find he's not as fully informed as he thinks he is, consequently his questions can be poor. Also, during tfg era, listeners would call in with comments that were false and destructive. He would let the comments stand without correcting the record. He still does that today.

I find him, generally, frustrating. I don't particular care for his approach to journalism, his framing of some narratives, and his general approach to give value to both sides. At the moment, I cannot come up with any specifics, just my general feeling.

President Biden and increased the attacks nearly all day every day since the beginning of the Afghanistan exit.

11. Mary Louise Kelly & her refusal to use the word lie in Jan 2017

I have been an NPR member for decades. Kelly & her weaseling in January 2017 on the apricothellbeast visit to tbe CIA was enraging, it was the closest I ever came to ending my routine membership payments.
Source-https://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-way/2017/01/25/511503605/npr-and-the-l-word-intent-is-key

full transcript there.

snip-"There's an active debate inside newsrooms, and particularly within the NPR newsroom, about how to characterize the statements of President Trump when they are at odds with evidence to the contrary."

snip-This time, NPR's Mary Louise Kelly reported on Trump's fence-mending visit to the CIA's headquarters in Langley, Va., the day after his inauguration. Despite his tweets comparing the intelligence services to those of Nazi Germany, Trump told his audience he is with them "a thousand percent." He also said that the media were to blame for making up the feud between him and the intelligence services. Kelly said, "It's provably not true. In that same speech out of the CIA this weekend, Trump also falsely inflated the size of the crowd at his inauguration."

10. I'm too liberal for this country.

I'd probably feel more at home somewhere in Europe.

Noam Chomsky has asserted for years that our media has never been very liberal at all, compared to other places in the world. He said that even the most liberal mass media outlets in the USA are basically the guardians of a liberal threshold instead -- i.e., "This far, but no further!"

18. +1

The 3 centres of power for the US are the war/security/surveillance state (wrapped up the petro-dollar matrix), the for-profit healthcare system, and then the banksters who steer the whole thing. These 3 extract 10's of trillions in wealth per decade, and will always ensure their fabulists are the winners in the agitprop wars that dominate, shape and control the American zeitgeist.

24. I have to say, it is getting a little old listening to

media trying to fry Joe Biden. It's dishonest at best. I can't figure their motivations, it's almost as if they want things to go back to hell where we were a year ago.
