Is Texas a "stand-your-ground" state?

Asking for a friend in Texas who wants to know, 'cause she's feeling pretty threatened right now....

1. Why, yes it is. And I don't blame your friend for feeling threatened

I live in Florida and feel threatened every day with Covid. With the anti-women laws in Texas, I feel even more threatened.

Maybe your friend should start carrying a gun everywhere she goes - that is also legal in Texas!

2. Yes.

And now you can carry, open or concealed, without training or license, as long as you are 21 and able to legally own a gun. Welcome to the wild west, and if you are a cop, hold on and be very careful. What a fucked up state this is.

3. So, does that mean if your friend who is 7 weeks pregnant

wants you to drive her to get an abortion and your repuke next door neighbor says they are going to sue you if you take her and you shoot them wouldn't that count as standing your ground because they were clearly threatening you?
