It appears that the California Recall election is a big defeat for the Republicans.

They thought they had ambushed the Californians and had caught them at a weak moment of vigilance, similarly to what they did when Arnold won the governorship. However, the Californians drove them back. Not only that, they knocked them to the ground and stomped on them. It was a pitiful sight.

A) They ran the totally horrible Larry Elders a radio show host with limit appeal even within the radio media, instead of anyone more appealing like Arnold last time.

B) the governors of Texas and Florida had flown caution to the wind doing the opposite of Newsom all last year and boasting about it. Delta made them pay just are the recall polls showed Newsom could be beaten. Suddenly Newsom had an issue to run on and exit polls show, not dying of a totally preventable disease is extremely popular with voters.

In reality the gqp must look at FL and TX and their dismal Covid performance and there’s Newsom in CA ..kids in SF in person schooling, with masks, 97% vaccinated and no outbreaks..and be absolutely green with envy..or maybe red with rage.

This is how the gqp needs to beaten down in ‘22 and ‘24!!

Go Dems!!

they didn't pay for that in 2020, but as people point out Dems could not run in person campaigning in 2020. It will be different in 2022 and the GQP is vulnerable. Arnold type GOP voters do not like Trump, do not like Elders, and do not like the SALT cap. They hated paying for this recall too.

Who knew? Glad the aware/awake ones were on our side! But then again, I would EXPECT, if not DEMAND, that our side was full of the aware/awake ones.

They stick together when they need to. Republicans cannot divide them as easily as they might elsewhere, in my opinion.

All it will take is another failure of the Electoral College in 2024 and there will be substantial talk of California secession.

Nobody wants to attach to, or claim ownership of, a loser.

I remember when you couldn't find a single soul who admitted to voting for Nixon. Well, SOMEBODY sure did! He won two Presidential elections, before Watergate finally stopped him.

Like we've been saying for years, it's not enough just to win, it can't be close enough they can steal it because they WILL try.

I love seeing a good old-fashioned humiliating landslide that's in our favor.
