One of my neighbors died a couple days ago from Covid

Not a direct neighbor, but one a few houses down. And unfortunately I don’t have any sympathy. For one, he always seemed like a jerk in addition to being a hardcore Trumper. His BIG truck was littered with the typical right wing bumper stickers (Trump 2020, one with a gun and something along the lines of try to take it, a pro life sticker, of course the blue lives matter sticker, etc…)…..they threw a few parties at their house during this pandemic with a whole bunch of guest….he kept his Trump flag up until February (waaay after the election)…..so when his wife posted on the neighborhood Facebook that he passed away, the first thing I thought of was Covid, so I strolled to look at her previous post in the group and there was one last week about him being on a ventilator (so my assumption is that it was Covid)……..what really irks me about these type of people is that they are always talking about personal responsibility and how people need to fend for themselves, but guess what, this guy had no health insurance or life insurance so now his wife his ‘begging’ for money on Facebook to cover medical bills and burial with a link to PayPal (weird, I didn’t even think PayPal did stuff like that…it’s almost like a go fund me page)

It’s the same arc, over and over again: bravado and bluster, sickness and death, GoFundMe.

There’s an endless parade of these at r/HermanCainAward on Reddit.

...I bet he rang up a pretty tidy sum at the hospital.

You know, the place filled with medical professionals who he didn't trust, drugs from companies that were trying to "poison" him, and big tech that was colluding to keep right wingers off the internets.

He was surrounded by everything he hated.

And now he leaves a widow to clean up the dog crap he wallowed in.

FreeDUMB. Except it isn't free, and the Dumdness puts us all at risk.

I'm sure he was "pro-life".

Fuck these hypocritical assholes...
