My patient's dad tested positive. I am livid!

I am a private duty nurse and one of my medically fragile patient's parents are willfully unvaccinated. I broached the subject of vaccines a few weeks ago as the Delta variant was spreading. They did not give a specific reason why they weren't vaccinated, but it is part of my job to educate and I did and let it go.

I found out today that the dad who works in the public, was positive for Covid. I am so angry! Their 1 yo child is medically fragile and this disease could easily kill him. They have another child, 6 yo who is also at risk.

I have just had it. If this child gets sick and dies, I think CPS should be called. Stupid dumb assed idiots!! Gggrrrr!

Absent a mandate this could be considered just a less than optimal parental choice and may be something CPS or your reporting agency doesn’t think rises to the level of filing.
