President Biden said:
But, we are facing a lot of pushback. Especially from some of the Republican governors. Governors of Florida and Texas doing everything they can to undermine the lifesaving requirements I have proposed. So the same governors attacking are in states with the strictest vaccine mandates for children attending school in the entire country.
For example, in Mississippi, children are required to be vaccinated against measles, mumps, rubella, chickenpox, Hepatitis B, polio, tetanus, and more. These are state requirements. But, in the midst of the pandemic, it already has taken over 600,000 lives. I propose a requirement for covid vaccines, and the governor of the state calls it a tyrannical type move. This is the worst kind of politics. It is putting the lives of citizens of their states, especially children, at risk, and I refuse to give into it. - PoliticusUSA

(3,386 posts)There has to be a law, or a code (Vincent Bugliosi come to mind) that lawyers can use where they can prove that these governors understand the danger of COVID and they have willingly created an environment that helps increase the number of infected citizens and the number of deaths. Knowingly passing laws that endanger the people in their states, and thus are responsible for all the deaths they have caused due to their deranged political stands. They are guilty of murder, and they are all vaccinated.
Where are those lawyers? There has to be a way to indict the murderers. Didn't the girl who convinced another girl to commit suicide on Facebook go to jail? She didn't physically commit the crime, but she led the girl to commit suicide, can someone explain to me what the difference is between those two? All those Fox news jackasses who have been actively convincing people to not vaccinate, to not wear masks contrary to what they even do, they should be prosecuted as well.
I cannot understand how it is possible that a group of lawyers cannot take on these cases, but then you have the GOP lawyers who will take on any case even knowing they have zero chance to win it, frivolous cases that should have them disbarred.
WHERE THE HELL is "The Rule of Law"? so far it is a fake term.

(16,353 posts)Not in the Constitution, but still among the founding values of this nation.
What's really ironic is that a lot of the dumbasses who are killing themselves and others by refusing to get vaxxed like to point to that statement to support their contention that fetuses, embryos, and even blastocysts have a "right to life" that justifies the policing of women's bodies.

(5,770 posts)... whereby the "governors" you speak of are "elected" by the "citizens" to administer "laws" enacted by "legislators" who are also "elected" by those "citizens". This political philosophy is called "democracy".
Oh, and then there is that "Bill of Rights" thing with it's "First Amendment".

(5,895 posts)If we don't defeat the virus, it will continue to mutate and keep killing people. I saw my MD just as the pandemic was beginning in this country and as he put it, we'll eventually all be exposed, and a lot of people will die. But if people will get vaccinated and wear their goddam masks, we can beat it back much more quickly.

(38,414 posts)force, yes, force almost everyone to get vaccinated....The question is "when." My guess is when it is clear that
that needs to be done by most people..That is..."an executive order" is clear to the great majority of the population
"Ordering that all citizens be vaccinated" When?..Up to Joe...He knows more than me...
