Imagine how the history of the US would have been after Jan6 if

VP Pence, after having emerged out of hiding after being hunted by Trumps' mob, would have gone to the White House and had Trump arrested on the spot for insurrection and sedition.

...If you arrest someone, you have a fixed amount of time for charges to be filed. Otherwise, you have to let the suspect go. People here who throw around "sedition" seem to have no idea what that actually entails in terms of pointing to a statute that's been violated, and presenting a provable case to a Judge or Grand Jury. Add to which, the Vice President has no more ability to "arrest" someone than any ordinary citizen.
