8. I watched it for a little while

on an online DC TV station (channel 4, maybe? ).

It was a self-serving, whiny, mewling charade of bullshit. They parroted the line that it was peaceful. They claimed that innocent sweeties saw the broken windows and just wandered in to mill around. When violence was admitted, they said it was outside agitators.

"Somebody" needs to view the numerous videos of that day, taken by network news sources and their own cell phones. Honest people clearly see the raging mob and know that it was NOT Antifa, BLM, leftists, plants, or anarchists doing the damage. It was their own damn selves.
