There were helicopters flying over our heads and police on horseback following us around during the Anti-Iraq and Anti-Afghanistan War Protests. But there was nearly a blackout on the nightly news programs at the time. Why the difference?

16. No matter how "liberal" or "impartial"

the media seem to be, they are corporate businesses. Corporate businesses favor conservative politics, especially conservative economics. They supported the Iraq and Afghanistan wars because their conglomerate owners were invested in the wars.

The corporate media currently oppose Biden because of his tax and other economic policies. The establishment conservatives (Bushes, Cheney) are taking their party back from the Trumpists. Now that Trump is quickly becoming a has-been, the media can afford to give him and his followers good coverage as a counterpoint to the liberal politics and economics of Biden and the Dems.

Not many magats were willing to risk getting arrested for trump so they stayed home.

trump didn't have a good day for another reason as well. The occupancy rate at Trump Tower in NY is plummeting as tenants move out not wanting to be associated with the orange turd, and Wells Fargo put the 100M loan on the property on its watch list.

trump's got big problems...as it should be.

We know more why the minority of Americans remain vaccinated than talk to the vast majority that got vaccinated without a fucking problem.

The media, our link to events, cannot be bothered with the import of unhappy citizens showing their displeasure. Is it any wonder then how the flyover acreage is overly represented by the complacently uninformed?

The news media loves its right wingers just like people rubbernecking a car crash.

Train wrecks are great news.

I was there. A small group of counter protesters started chanting SUPPORT OUR TROOPS, SUPPORT OUR TROOPS!

Then I started chanting with them SUPPORT OUR TROOPS, BRING THEM HOME! Others joined me, and soon we drowned them out.

19. The U.S. media is pro-war.

It just is. Media coverage is always slanted in favor of war. That's why Biden keeps getting beat up by the media for daring to withdraw troops from Afghanistan. How dare he end war.

It's been this way all my life. I figure it's part of our nation's DNA.
