on average, the risk to children is less than many other risks that we live through and don't think about much. As parents we can mitigate that risk by reducing their exposure to the anti-vaxxers. I know in some states that is A LOT harder and difficult for the parents, and even in this state, I'm counting down the days until we can get my ten year old vaccinated.

Wear masks, be safe, and try to do activities where vaccines are mandated if possible.

The death rate from Covid simply isn't very high. Not at all enough to cull the herd.

Plus, apparently an awful lot of them totally deny they have Covid even when in the hospital and getting ready to be put on a ventilator. Some of them see the light shortly before they day and admit they were wrong. Others, those who recover, simply dismiss the seriousness of it.

So no, thinking that any significant percentage of them will soon be gone is not going to happen.

So, depending on exactly where we start with those deaths, and I'll go with January, 2020, more than 6.3 million babies were born in the same time. As bad as Covid is, it's just not killing a population impacting number. So please stop hoping that the anti-vaxxers will eliminate themselves. They won't. All they'll succeed in doing is getting a lot of others sick, and killing some of them.

To keep the numbers in perspective, the Black Death in the 14th Century did briefly kill more people than were being born. But the 1918 flu pandemic barely killed as many people as were otherwise being born.

Yeah, the babies being born are just babies, but meanwhile how many millions and millions of people are Trumpers, or anti-vaxxers, or just in any other way have gone to the dark side?

Vastly more than are dying from Covid.

Now, if a new variant appeared that was even more infectious than Delta and killed at least half of those who got it, then you could hope the conservatives would lose significant numbers.

People straight out what the story is.

Well done! Not sure who the band is, but glad to hear they are practical, and support the vaccine and masks, etc. Tell people how it is.

And I am still pissed at my Guitar hero Eric Clapton for being such an idiot with his anti-vax stance a couple months ago. Does he not realize he can be an influencer? OK, so not anymore. But at one time he was a household name.
