Kudos to Gabby Petito's family

Heard on tv that they established a memorial fund in her name to help other families find their missing loved ones. My heart goes out to them and all families going through this. I think it’s an amazing thing for them, even in their time of suffering, to be concerned about the suffering of others.

They can relate to others who are going through it, too.
I hope they raise a huge amount.

I'll have to admit, if I were in their shoes I'd me more than a little uncomfortable with all the media attention going to me while so many others are missing. Maybe this will help others and call attention to that disparity.

Who wants to have millions of damning their loss. They are sadly grieving the loss of their daughter, who they loved and cherished so very much.

At least now maybe the angry and upset can mourn her death with the family.

All lost and suffering injury or death, deserve sympathy. The fact the media whores exploit this tragic loss, is what deserves one's anger and disgust.

R.I.P. young flower. Such a sad ending.

Have to watch typing after eating a brownie. Exactly.

I would hate to lose a child and have millions of American's angry that they have to hear about our loss and resent it being just another story about a "pretty white, young woman". Their loss is real. The media are the ones guilty of exploiting the story.

Written words often need a lot to be explained. Poor proofing. My apologies.

The parents are wounded, damaged and extremely fragile in their loss. They seem to understand the dynamics, even in their massive, personal pain and suffering.

My heart hurts for what their enduring, and hopefully with time her foundation will gain traction and keep more eyes open and paying attention to all the lost and missing and help keep their cases relevant.

They have a huge amount of publicity and they're trying to use their loss for a better good for all in their situation. It's commendable and step toward a change in attitudes.
