China to reduce abortions for 'non-medical purposes' (Reuters via CNN)
China will reduce the number of abortions performed for "non-medical purposes," the country's cabinet announced in new guidelines issued Monday that it said were aimed at improving women's reproductive health. Looks like the Chinese authorities want more babies, or else.

2. China did not think the one child policy through.
Instead they put their grand population reduction plan in a tiny little box and they all got into the tiny little box and said there, it's fixed. Years later the box has dissolved and they realize they have a serious problem on their hands and now many Chinese women just don't want to have kids in China anymore.

3. Women will still get abortions.
Sadly, many of them in China will now not be safe ones.
