(32,633 posts)Hillary had to face the fact that after a long and hard primary battle, she didn't win the Nomination. Barack Obama won, because of many reasons but among them were the fact that he campaigned harder and smarter. But that's beside the point: Hillary congratulated her opponent and pledged to help him get elected. They "kissed and made up" as good Democrats will usually do, and Hillary asked her supporters and campaign staff to all support Obama. She even went out and gave campaign speeches on his behalf.
Hillary Clinton is a great example of how to behave on the campaign trail, how to hold one's head up in defeat, and how to be a leader in the face of monumental criticism. We let her down in 2016 because she deserved to be elected President. Our country would have been very different and much happier now, with Hillary Clinton in the White House.
