Message for Senator Manchin on his yacht.

It was pertty bad optics when you stood on the upper deck of your yacht and talked down to the peasants in their kayaks. It would have been much better if you had taken the trouble to come down to the lower deck or just gone over to your bar and poured yourself a stiff one and ignored the whole situation.

1. Now that you mention it, it really was sickening.

I want to support the guy but we KNOW the reason he is against the bigger bill is coal.

We dont need any more scientific proof of the damage it is doing.

I still wish some super rich liberal would buy his company from him so he can do the right thing.

2. Imagine how much better it would have looked if he came down to the first deck,

then asked the group to select two among themselves to come on board where he could discuss things with them.

What was also telling was when he said we are going to tax the rich and famous. WTF? Will there be a tax on being famous, or will they only tax the rich if they are also famous?

flexible meaning. If you're in a kayak, that was a yacht. I do understand it has living quarters and he does live in it when in Washington. Actually probably cheaper than any real estate you would purchase for that purpose.

it certainly changes the optics, and it was made clear that the price range was no where near a yacht. Not that I would know. It certainly got my attention, but I didn't delve further to see if I was being played....again.

dirt cheap for living space in DC.

Until there is another Democrat that can beat GOPers in West Virginia, I’m not sure hurting Manchin politically is in our best interest. I don’t find the thought of a GOPer Senate MAJORITY Leader appealing.

Just saying.

but the optics. But speaking of the cost, I wonder how much it costs to dock a boat like that with live-in privliges.

WV went for Trump 68.62% to 29.69% for Biden.

The other senator from West Virginia, Republican Shelley Moore Capito won with 70.3% of the vote in 2020 over Democrat Paula Jean Swearengin (27.0% of the vote).
