I posted this elsewhere but it needs more exposure

First of all what is sold as an "air fryer" is in fact a very small small single function convection oven. My back is blown to Hell and putting a heavy 9 x13 casserole would at least hurt, if not cripple me for several days. But I bought a countertop oven that had a convection mode and has a built in rotisserie and fits two 9 x13 casseroles...So here is what I wrote elsewhere:

It's a countertop oven that can fit two frozen pizza or 9 x 13 pans. it has a convection mode which is exactly what an "air fryer is. Big plus is a built in rotisserie that can handle a 5 lb chicken. Final perk is at counter height strain on back problems are eliminated. Since I got one my oven is only used when family comes for a holiday meal and multiple ovens are needed. It does require a large piece of countertop but I've never regretted the loss-I LOVE this thing!

especially on days when it's too hot to turn on the regular oven. I love the rotisserie, too. I never thought about using it as an air fryer, though, so thanks! I don't have a lot of counter space so mine is on an old microwave stand and it fits perfectly.

Someday it will fail and even though it's a major purchase for a guy on social security, I would buy the same unit again that day!

My first air fryer was a Black Friday special at a big box store. After the rebate, it was $5. I loved it, but it was too small. I bought a much nicer, bigger one with more functions last year. I hardly ever use my oven anymore.

That one looks great, but it's more than I need.

Will it fit a 9 x 13? How about two? And past that wouldn't a rotisserie chicken or roast be a plus?

decided she had to have a larger one. She's raising a famly and uses it multiple times a day. I'd never felt a need for a toaster oven, but it does a lot of things really nicely and now we use it a lot also. Tonight was salmon steaks on the convection ("air fry" ) setting. As you say. Excellent and so easy. And much lower energy use and heat put out than my undercounter oven.

It’s big for sure! But… we will be tearing out the kitchen, ceiling to floor and everything in between. All the appliances will go, and I have to live here and cook. We are acting as the general contractor so it’ll naturally take a bit longer than I’d like.

Bottom line is this appliance will remain and take up valuable space on the counter.

I’ll occasionally make some lemon blueberry scones, and they bake in the Instant Pot oven in about 8 minutes. It’s so much more efficient to bake in the small oven vs the large wall oven. And air fryer bacon cannot be beat. Bacon is not healthy but it doesn’t cook in its grease in the air fryer- it sits on a basket and the tray below catches all the grease.

It’s just Dh and I now as our nest is empty. It just makes more sense to cook in that counter top oven.
