I got to fill out ALL of the paperwork on line so no trying to balance a clip board while I fill out the questionnaire like I did for the first 2.
I suspect this is going to be just as smooth and easy as the first two but HOPEFULLY faster. And, since it's at Meijer, I can also redeem some bottles/cans and get some shopping done.

I had mine a week ago Friday & only very mild tenderness at injection site.

(26,260 posts)I remember feeling tired, after the first, but I hadn't really slept all that well the night before. And after the 2nd I got a dull headache, the next day, that disappeared within 24 hours. So, maybe those were side effects or maybe just coincidental.
I know with ALL of the vaccinations I received while in the Navy, I never felt a side effect from any of them.

(57,073 posts)Pls remember to re-register for vsafe:
https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/safety/register-for-v-safe.html
The pharmacist didn't mention vsafe or have a handout this time. So I was sitting at home a few hrs later & something was nagging at me. It was to sign up for vsafe again.
I put in name & phone number & pretty much got a welcome back message. Great site!
Btw, did you get permission from your feline overlords to leave the house?

(26,260 posts)I'll definitely remember the registration.
I might have to give the furry young royals an extra treat, tomorrow morning. I am going to see what kind of kitten food Meijer has. I've been feeding it to Sophie, too, because it's so nutritious. She looks like she's starting to put some weight back on. Now to watch for the fur to start filling in.

(57,073 posts)She was on Blue Indoor formula, but with 1 can / day of the fancy feast classic pate (low cal) her fur is shining & gorgeous. Before it was dull & dry looking.
Funny she will only eat the beef & chicken flavor. No shrimp, salmon, etc., etc. Weird.

(26,260 posts)And I'm thrilled she's back to eating shredded chicken. Just before she stopped eating I had cooked up a big pan of chicken thighs for her, but she wouldn't touch them. So, I put the meat in the freezer. Now she's gobbling it down.
I am hoping that as she adjusts more and more to the kittens, she'll get back to her old eating habits.

(57,073 posts)She is rebounding nicely & quickly for a kitty!
She might well learn to enjoy the kits as they mature! 🤞
I took mine on vaca once a couple of years ago. It took several months for her to "recover."

(8,445 posts)I got mine last Monday at a Walgreen's. I filled out a form online thinking I was going to be saving some time, but the pharmacist there asked me to fill out theirs. It was practically the same thing, so it was a little irritating.
So I'm triple-vaccinated against COVID-19, and yesterday I took a Rapid-At-Home test that I got free from Colorado, so I'm confident about going to the outdoor birthday party for one of my grandsons this afternoon.
I'm planning to go get my flu shot and my shingles shot in the next few weeks, and I still wear a mask and do distancing, so I'm doing everything I can to not get sick and take up valuable hospital space.

(26,260 posts)I got my first ever flu and pneumonia shots, ever, last year. I've never had flu so just didn't bother with the vaccine. When Covid hit and all of the talk about some people being asymptomatic came up, I figured maybe that explains my lack of symptoms, ever. So to be on the safe side of not spreading anything to those close to me, I'm now getting a yearly flu shot.

(57,073 posts)Am a bit hesitant because my dad would get deathly sick from it every year, but I'm going to do it!

(8,445 posts)I went to the grocery store a couple of days ago, and heard a lady coughing. I know it sounds weird, but you can pretty much tell from the sound of it if they're covering their mouth, and she wasn't. No mask, of course. Some people are just disgusting. She was about 15 feet away, walking in the opposite direction, thankfully. People like her are just another reason that I'll probably always wear a mask in public places long after we're out of this pandemic (IF that ever happens).

(4,552 posts)Since the CDC recommended it back in the summer at some point, I began wearing a mask indoors again. I had lapsed because we were told it was OK, I was fully vaccinated. There was a lot of debate at that time as I recall. I felt those who chose to be unvaccinated had to make their own choices about risk, in the face of no official requirements or recommendations from health officials.
But, yea, I cover the face now! And I ignore the stares from Mask-holes.
And it protects against the flu and colds so why not?

(8,445 posts)I figure Karma will get them. Being cautious is part of my nature.

Hubby and I got Moderna so no word on recommendations yet.
As an aside, I am now recovered from getting my annual Flu Vax for those 65 and older. It was not the High-test version because they didnt have any. But Im fine with that. I would rather be covered sooner than to wait for the stronger version and risk getting the actual flu in the mean time. Felt yucky yesterday and am now fit-as-a-fiddle!
Hope your recovery is uneventful!
