5. I don't believe it

I think he "folded" for now to relieve the bad publicity. So some folks think the issue has gone away. When Mitch revives his opposition in December there will be that much less bad publicity and the holidays will distract, so he'll have a stronger hand.

And please know that he has delayed it into an issue for 2022.

10. Hahahaha! McTurtle created a false crisis and it backfirned on him.

Both parties routinely up the debt limit when time comes for it. McTurtle tried this gambit of not signing on and trying to force Dems to go the reconciliation route. Biden called his bluff and now he looks stupid.

He's evil all right but not as smart as he thinks he is. He's so miserable calling the shots as majority leader so does whatever he can to disrupt the president's agenda.
