In Texas I believe he can fire them legally (not an employment law attorney) as long as he did not base his decision to fire because of the employee’s race, religion, sex, national origin, being gay or pregnant.

Federal law prohibits termination of the above protected class. In a Right to Work state they do not have to give a reason. He can say he will fire the next employee that walks through the door and be ok. As long as he doesn’t violate federal law he is ok to do whatever he wants.

“Right to Work” is like the “Clear Skies” Act where the law allowed polluters to pollute more. They give a bad law a seemingly positive name to mask a bad law. These are just two of thousands of corporate friendly laws passed because we allow our politicians to be legally bribed with campaign donations. How can we fix our country’s problems? Eliminate donations, Super PACs, etc., and have publicly funded elections.
