Why is Trump allowed to litigate EVERY SINGLE THING!?

Once Trump takes it to court he's in his environment.
His lawyers confuse, delay, defer, appeal and will probably keep everything in court until after the 2024 election.
Since lawyers do all the work Trump is free to run a campaign and do whatever he wants.

Biden waives presidential privilege on Trump documents and Trump takes him to court where he can keep them locked up for years.
Why isn't the president the ultimate word on presidential privilege instead of Trump?
They are still letting Trump decide for the country instead of our real president.
It's insane!

Basically the legal system is a black hole that Trump uses to swallow up anything that threatens him so he gets away with absolutely everything WITHOUT ANY CONSEQUENCES!

Just watch. He will be free as a bird in 2024, will run and will steal the presidency with the help of Republican state legislatures and no one will do anything about it except expose the details which has no effect on him whatsoever.

Something is seriously broken in country and the country may die as a result.

I take comfort in the fact the TFG's attempts to use it to his advantage lately have
been a colossal failure.

Meanwhile, DOJ investigations into Trump's Organization continue to look like they'll
pay off soon in indictments and court appearances while various congressional
committees are on the same path. If we can keep the reTHUGS from accomplishing the coup they wish for until the legal process is done then there is no problem.

2024 is an eternity away, politically speaking and many things can happen before then. Add to that the fact that the reTHUG anti-vaxx/anti-mask cultists continue to kill
themselves off it might all result in a big win-win for us.

Meanwhile there are many of us who are watching closely and ready to take to the
streets if necessary to defeat these reTHUG Fascists. Don't give up yet.

It’s probably similar to many systems, except banana republics.

Wish there were an exception for trump.

Not worried about 2024 even if he’s still alive and free. Am worried about another equally vile and incompetent GOPer getting the nomination.

And would be completely unconstitutional.
Any American has a right to take any issue to court. They will eventually run out of money, and if their filings are frivolous they can be sanctioned by the Court, but they can’t lose their access to the court system.

It seems strange that the President should be the ultimate word on Presidential privilege but then Trump, who was President, whether we like it or not, doesn't have a say in his own documents.

Suppose Trump, when he was President, wanted to release information that President Obama had addressed to his advisors in confidence regarding issues where he was frustrated with Democratic congress people or where he criticized in a way that was optically damaging to his legacy or current congress people? Would it have been okay for Trump to release those records?

The court system is designed to be open for litigation. Some people abuse it.

We can certainly do something regarding tort reform. We have laws against vexatious litigation.

Biden has ordered the documents released, an injunction would have to be filed against the archives releasing them, haven’t heard that’s happened.

The first batch of appearances is next Thursday, we’ll see what happens then.

Seriously, I think that this is the reason why the law is harder on the poor than the rich. Law enforcement knows that the wealthy can tie everything up in court.
