Riley Williams, 22, from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, stole Nancy Pelosi's laptop on January 6 according to an indictment unsealed on Thursday, and planned to try and sell it to Russian intelligence agents,

She has been charged with eight counts, including theft of government property, obstructing an official proceeding, and assaulting or resisting police, according to the indictment.

The boyfriend claimed she had told people she intended to send Pelosi's stolen laptop to a friend in Russia, who would then sell it on to its foreign intelligence service.

In January, a federal judge in Pennsylvania banned Williams from using the internet while she awaited trial and limited her to using a flip phone after she was suspected of deleting social media accounts, The Daily Mail said.

This is a thing. During TFG's adminstration they didn't have any place to move _to_. They don't like to lose and only bring charges when they are fairly certain to win. The Jan 6 stuff is taking so long because they have a mile long line of i's to dot and t's to cross. We are only beginning to see the crest of what will probably be a large wave of prosecutions. They have started with the small fish and are working up to the real bad guys. And as with prosecutions of organized crime, their MO will be to push those guys to give them even bigger fish, or do hard time. And at the top of this pyramid is of course TFG. They could slap handcuffs on him today, justifiably, but not necessarily get a solid conviction on anything with the legally admissible evidence available. The handcuff thing will happen when the jail thing is a slam-dunk under regular legal rules, and not before.
