2. The truly offensive thing in the call was the fake NH accent.

But the caller made I think a valid point. As much as I can't stand Mitt Romney, I have to admit he probably does have a large penis. I think the question was legit. It goes to Romney's psychological demeanor as a small penis can lead to slow self esteem, while too large of one can lead to overconfidence.

Whether from the show or just fans trying to get played on the show, Stern seems to be the instigator. At least that's what someone told me on Twitter, so you know it's true.

7. No. Maybe if something titillating or obscene is said by a really stupid, ignorant fool

in between all the really important things that intelligent, well informed people say, ordinary folks will watch it just for that fleeting moment of pure entertainment.

Titillating, obscene language is completely out of place on C-Span -- and that is what makes it funny.

In recent years, C-Span has lost out to Jon Stewart in the ratings game.

So C-Span should just let it all hang out once in a while.

And then get back to the serious business of the day.

It's not terribly difficult to implement, is it? Doesn't C-SPAN need to worry about the FCC?

But yes, a delay would probably help stop this kind of stuff.
