Not per capita, but a sobering graph nonetheless.Ziggysmom
(3,406 posts)death numbers in India are under reported and are likely more than 10 times higher than what is shown. While people here are refusing life saving vaccines, they tell me some of their relatives had to travel long distances and wait for days to receive their shots. Folks in rural areas of India are especially vulnerable to Covid and there is little health care available when they are infected.
Makes me sick to see idiots here refuse the vaccine and then treat hospital staff like crap while poor people in other countries would be grateful for treatment.

(44,973 posts)India has much larger population than US, yet they are reporting less deaths.
What are we doing extremely well in, beating everybody in higher number of Covid deaths?

829 out of 67 million (U.K) is 12/million
278 out of 38 million (Canada) 7/million.
The USA is No.1. by 'miles'.

(61,588 posts)A graph showing per capita comparisons is much more accurate. Also, as noted in this thread, some of these countries are not reporting cases accurately.
Nonetheless, there are states in the U.S. (Florida, cough cough) that have worse rates than most nations.
