The monkey trap
I heard a long time ago that people would take a jug with a small neck and put treats in it that monkeys liked. The monkeys would stick a hand in the jug to get the treats, but then the hand was a fist, and the monkey wouldn't be able to get its hand out of the jug, without giving up the treats. And would likely get caught by the people who set the trap.
Maybe a story for our time.
