The U.S. is pretty heterogeneous. We're not always great at collective action.

these crazy outbursts, the destructive behavior - for some accountability, since our institutions are creaky and slow, at best.

It is not excessive - it's ethical, natural, appropriate, de-escalating.

I'm thinking only a small share of the hardcore conservatives share their beliefs openly enough to identify them. Those that do usually are civil / on good terms with those who don't share their wingnut ideals. In other words, the worst offenders are mostly doing this already.

Everyone needs to look, think, act, and believe the same way or it threatens the survival of the group. Internal dissension is deadly to small band of humans. Conformity is required.

to the crazy insurrectionist types who are getting away with whatever they want right now! Include TFG and his allies.

For example: why doesn't DOJ just lower the fucking boom? I get process. I get democracy. But when you are dealing with a foe that does not respect it, for example, FASCISTS, do you wait till AFTER the genocide starts or try to head it off?

Shunning seems to me a rather low-level initial step.

false equivalency.

Can we not agree that it is 1) ok to criticize the government, march and demonstrate in response to policies we don't approve of and are trying to change and also 2) NOT OK to attack law enforcement with chemical and physical weapons in the national capitol?
