Since a grand jury can call anyone to stand before them, they can force Trump, no lawyer, to stand and testify, and hoist himself with his own petard.

Seeing TFG in court in front of a Grand Jury would be the best! (Grand Juries are behind-closed-doors, but the whole idea makes me smile)

Damn! But I want his ass in a sling.

that they should give Trump full immunity to testify, so he can't take the 5th, then watch as he throws everyone, including his own kids, under the bus. The fantasy is not whether Trump would do this, (he would) but whether the Grand Jury would.

He'd just sit there and yell about entrapment, and then try to walk out on the proceedings.

A handful of Republicans keep the light on for democracy. The rest of them tied up Lady Liberty and tied her to the railroad tracks.

This is a CONTEMPT citation, not a criminal charge. "Lock him up" applies ONLY if the subject continues to refuse to appear before Congress when apprehended.

The vast majority of Republicans voted "no." Of course Cheney and Kinzinger voted "yes" but they do not represent the Republican Party as it is today.

That seems to be the Trumpy way.
Keep everything spinning in the court ad infinitum until the threat finally fades away.

Of course you have to be able to afford a team of lawyers for two years but I guess with multiple Republican billionaire activists to foot the bill, it's not your problem.

This is a no brainer. He can only go a maximum of 1 year. He will go to a Fed prison for non violent offenders. not that tough a stint. He comes out in 8 months or 12 months, he is a MAGA god.

The MAGAs shower him with speaking gigs, book deals, TV shows, and he and his family are set for the rest of their lives.

This all sounds like a thing but he will not cooperate and will end up set for life financially.

before Congress, say little to nothing, and be released with no jail time. He'd still be a god of the alt-right fascist world.

There will be no way to get to Trump through Bannon unless the DOJ has a powerful case to make and has Trump subpoenaed by a grand jury, and then jailed for not speaking to the grand jury.

Jan 6 Committee work can still proceed, with all future subpoenaed not-Bannon witnesses seeing their futures.

Something and someone will corroborate the millions of documents they already hold that show paper trails and communications, possible networks of both.
