Punish or Perish!

It's as basic as that. I'm not putting forth anything complex here; no overarching philosophy, no grand political analysis, just a simple, self-evident fact: If we do not hold Donald Trump and his Human Cadre of American Destruction fully accountable for their crimes against this country, they'll be back. More specifically, BACK IN POWER. And America won't survive a second Trump term. That is it. That is all I am saying. And we all know it to be true.

But generally, disinformation contains within it kernels of truth, a tiny number of facts that the target audience can spot, thus lending some semblance of legitimacy to the propaganda. But the Trump Cult doesn't give a SHIT about any kind of reality. Thus, they are pulling utter fantasy of of their asses and representing it as Gospel Truth. (And yes, the religious themes I'm tagging unto these dangerous basket cases are Not Coincidental.)

As in, let's not go after the last guy and/or his minions with the DOJ because we don't want to be seen as "politicizing" the DOJ, which is exactly what the last guy did, of course. But in that reluctance, aren't we actually "politicizing" the DOJ because how would the AG have reacted if the attackers had no partisan agenda or affiliation? I don't know how to thread that needle but some smarter person should.

In both print & airwaves, the Fairness Doctrine would be a good start.
