NJ-GOV: Murphy heads into Election Day with double-digit lead over Ciattarelli in N.J. governor race

Gov. Murphy has an 11 percentage point advantage over Ciattarelli among registered votersAristide Economopoulos | NJ Advance Media.

Democratic Gov. Phil Murphy has a double-digit lead over Republican challenger Jack Ciattarelli in the fight for New Jersey governor that ends with next week’s election, according to the latest poll of the race.

Murphy is ahead of Ciattarelli by 11 percentage points among registered voters, according to the Monmouth University Poll released Wednesday. It showed the governor with 50% support compared to his rival’s 39%.

The latest poll showed Murphy’s support dropping from a similar survey by Monmouth in late September. But only slightly. He led Ciattarelli by 13 percentage points at that time — 51% to 38%.

We’ve never had it before in New Jersey. My husband and I went on Thursday morning.

There were quite a few people there, and all the election workers were cheerful and helpful.
