IF he were to die, i'm wondering who his base would turn to? I'm almost thinking it would be Green? (or maybe Desantis?)

Add fuel to the deep state conspiracy but also force an admission that Trump was weak enough to be killed by the deep state.

And crickets for demanding any kind of recount, right? That's what we're all terrified of.

They will elevate him to Jesus status of a martyr
He is already their new religion
And they will pray to a golden status of him or bad blond wigs; whichever is easier.
If anything; they will create a trump pope

(2,254 posts)Maybe the bigger question is, which right-wing nut would want to try to take Trump's place? And which one of those is electable? And if Trump wasn't around to intimidate and deprecate the remainder of the opportunistic Big Lie propagators, they might change strategies. The politicians know Trump is FOS and would love to see him gone but I suppose they need Trump's base, so maybe whoever is as deranged as Trump, like MTG, would win the cigar...
It's an interesting scenario to think about.

(63,221 posts)Well, compared to Trump, I guess so, but Ted Cruz is not smart. Even Ivy League schools majorly fuck up sometimes.
He might have a certain functional intelligence that has managed to advance him to the position he has achieved so far, but from what i can tell, he is a pretty dumb guy. I always wonder how people like that manage to rise to positions of prominence. It really baffles me.
LuckyCharms
(17,425 posts)relative. I guess my eye doctor thinks Cruz is halfway intelligent.
I mean, Cruz was smart enough to pass the bar exam. I don't put much faith in something like that being a good gauge though.
But now I'm sitting here trying to imagine tfg being able to pass the bar exam.

(63,221 posts)Apparently it's not easy, so they obviously get help. It does take a number of tries for most of them. A lot of them are from families with money and get coached through it. It's the only way they can make it.
