My 10 year old grandson got his second covid vaccine yesterday.

I am so relieved. No big deal to him, life as usual. He is disappointed that he will still have to wear a mask, but glad that it is not as often. Hopefully soon the 18 month old will be able to get covid vaccinated. Then maybe this grandma will get a good nights sleep.

booster only being half-dose would make it less severe this time around. Altho I am suspicious that one or both of us may have had Covid earlier this fall, and maybe that's the reason we both are reacting strongly again. Edit to add, we are both 51, that's probably a factor in feeling shitty too--no youth to mitigate the effects, but still a strong immune reaction compared to elderly. My parents only had a sore arm, they're 79.

I’m 59. I had an extremely sore arm after the first dose. I couldn’t even lift it, but that’s it. The second one I had a normally sore arm, and was very fatigued the next day. Those are the only symptoms I had.

Many of my friends and family had the Moderna, and I only know of one who had symptoms, and she did have COVID a couple months prior.

My husband had 3 Pfizers, and he had zero symptoms, barely even a sore arm.

Very relieved. My daughter took them to their regular pediatrician instead of a pharmacy as they’re used to kids who scream bloody murder at shots like my grandson. Looking forward to the 3 year old getting vaccinated too, hopefully soon.
