Those white wing, gun-humping rubes are likely inbred and too stupid . . . . . . .

(43,317 posts)IF a politician had done that here (posed with a gun and 'Fuck Magdalena Andersson' (our new PM) shirt) all hell would break loose. They would be drummed out of the Riksdag (our parliament) instantly, and SÄPO (Säkerhetspolisen, our state security police) would be on them like a fly on shit.
The US is fucked up to the point that this is so normalised and accepted.

(6,272 posts)this to a huge group of people on DU who are stuck in some weird interpretation of the first amendment.
But it is really that they dismiss all these people as inconsequential.
And that is the mistake that has allowed this violence in speech to be normalized and celebrated by certain segments of the society.

Posing with rifles has become du jour with conservatives.

I fail to understand why you would want to give them exposure beyond their small, local world.

the military no doubt got it at once.
And if one writes whiskey tango foxtrot (also the title of a recent novel), many would immediately understand WTF.

(43,317 posts)NATO developed the now almost universally used phonetic alphabet in 1956 from various other systems, especially the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
Most all international orgs use the NATO system, and spell A and J as Alfa and Juliett. The purpose of the whole thing is avoid confusion for non English speakers and extensive trials found that those two spellings worked best in doing that.
But, one org did not. The American National Standards Institute, who still insist on Alpha and Juliet as the spellings. Many asshole RW Americans use the ANSI spellings and call the almost universal NATO spellings all sorts of xenophobic names.
I know this from my real life experiences with people of many nations that I deal with in the security and military arenas, at academic, business, and recreational levels.
It is so typically American. The exact same snotty xenophobia and paranoia goes on with many Americans and the metric system (hey Jim Bob, that there metric system is a commie plot!!!).

Repubes have devolved to the point where they not only piss and shit all over truth and decency themselves, but they feel they have to mock people who are honest and decent.

(43,317 posts)Designed to taken them one step (out of thousands they are bathed in) closer to being motivated (and having a rationale) to act out kinetically (far from only to do with Biden) when the times comes.
That NC conservacuck Bo is not directly saying he himself is going to gun Biden down. He wants that option/suggestion floating out and about, percolating in the RW aether for others to be affected by.
