not the stuff in the newspapers or on most of cable news. I listened to Thom Hartmann and his guest Robert Costa who co-wrote Peril with Bob Woodward. Those 2 talk turkey not MSM propaganda. The discussion was about the 2022 and 2024 elections. Costa talked about this past spring when Jim Clyburn called Joe Manchin into his office to talk about a carve out for the filibuster to get S1 passed. According to Costa it ended up in a screaming match with Clyburn telling Manchin that Republicans were rigging the next elections.

The GQP is on its way to rigging 2022, we all know about the dirty laws that have been passed and the suppression of votes and firing of honest election officials, but that isn't what scared me. They talked about how they are planning to rig the 2024 election. Several states are going to send 2 sets of Electors to the convention because they wrote the laws that the Electors don't have to go to who won the popular vote. Confusion will result at the Convention and then it goes to the House to decide and if the House picks the GQP Electors it goes to the SC where several justices have opined that the states have absolute authority to run their own elections.

You people think that I am bad saying that the sky is falling, listen to some progressives on Sirius or pod casts, it's way scarier than I could ever portray.

they will steal every election from now until doomsday. If Manchin and Sinema won't do what it takes to get this legislation passed, we need to play hardball with them. There's got to be something that they either want or something they want to kept hidden. Whatever it takes to stop the Republicans, we have to do it.

3. Which is exactly why so many of us are impatient

about hearing even a scintilla that DOJ is working on holding those responsible for the failed 1/6 coup attempt accountable. There has been no meaningful accountability for criminal behavior/acts to undermine democratic elections in 2016 and 2020 thus far, not by the DOJ nor by Congress. Yeah, some folks were imprisoned, but those same folks are free and operating to undermine democracy in 22 and 24 today — which validates “no meaningful accountability”.

Impatience does not exist in a vacuum — there is a clear and compelling history to warrant it. The fact that “we don’t know what is going on in DOJ” does not mean by any stretch that anything meaningful is going on. Given recent experience and the fact that there is currently an onslaught against democracy being carried out by the very same people and forces that operated in 2016 and 2020, there is every reason to be alarmed — as well as impatient and deeply concerned about the lack of any evidence that DOJ is actually doing something — let alone enough — to protect and save our democracy right now when it is obviously at a precipice. I trusted in Mueller in 2017-18. That turned out to be naive. I am unabashed and unapologetic in saying DOJ needs to take action pronto!
