Maybe I'll live long enough to see a New Year's Eve with optimism

My lifetime has only had them with fear and revulsion. The overwhelming reality that the next year and the next year will all be worse and more disgusting than the previous.

I'll stay healthy maybe one day it will happen, but I doubt it.

For me, it's gotten worse over the last few years due to the horrors of the political climate. I'm not looking forward to November. We as a country have proven we're too stupid to exist.

It used to be that ignorance was mostly just a harmless trait that annoyed your friends and coworkers and closed a few doors here and there. Now that trait comes at a much higher cost.

Maybe there's a silver lining to this Darwinian effect?

The pandemic sucked for sure but politically, we kicked some butt on getting things done. We have both congress and the president. We didn’t get everything, but we got a lot. This year we will continue to get many things done. The outlook for 2022 is bright and fruitful.

And looking back, even in years where I didn't feel that way at the time, I now realize I should have but just didn't know it then.

for me personally, 2021 one of the worst years of my life. I'm hoping 2022 will be better, for me it couldn't be worse then the last one.
