Happy New Year - Have a Great Civil War

In history, the January 6 attack on the Capitol will go down as the Fort Sumter of our time. The 2016 election if Donnie Dipshit will go down as the Constitution of Confederate States or our time.

If your don't think we are already in a "cold" Civil War, you haven't been paying attention. I suggest you attend your next Local School Board, City Council, or County Commissioners meeting if you still have doubt. Heck, even attending a Reading Program at your local Public Library will open your eyes.

If you have listened to 10 seconds of Hate Radio over the past 40 years, or accidentally happened upon Fox News over the past 30 years, you have to know that this is where we would eventually end up.

That really is how fascism and political violence occur. It rarely is "sudden". It's almost always a slow, creeping horror show that you feel going on around you, but by the time you realize it, it's too damn late.

The thunder and lightning is pealing. The tense music is playing. The power has gone out, the dog is barking, and we are all the teenage girl deciding to go in the dank, dark basement with a candle.

Actually, calling it a "Civil" War is fitting.

This one won't be fought against states that support slavery and states rights, although racism and some warped idea of "freedumb" is animating it. This one will be fought over civility.

On one side, are people that lack any decency, compassion, understanding, morality, empathy or reason. The other side are people that possess those human qualities.

BTW - Don't be surprised when those folks on the other side turn out to be your family, "friends", or the neighbor you used to share a beer with over the fence.

Donnie Dipshit was not a "mystery"...he was misery.

Folks saw a miserable piece of shit with the morals of a rat, and voted for said piece of shit to lead us all.

There is something broken inside people that would do that, and it's not "economic anxiety".

So, enjoy New Year's with your family...at least the ones you still talk to, and then get involved.

Get active. Attend your local government meetings and let people know that the screaming banshees aren't a majority.

Organize and let people know that book burning parties are NOT the new party fad.

But above all else, vote like your life depends on it, because it does.

1. A large segment is disaffected

because Reagan got the ball rolling to decimate the middle class and thus eliminate living wage jobs. A drowning working class saw / see Trumpism as a reasonable response to political leadership that allowed the wealthy elites to employ slavery wherein the workers are always trying to stay above water, even with two jobs.
Reagan obliterated organized labor and lowered living standards to benefit the bribing class. And that's how the pussy grabber in chief brought down democracy and legitimized facism.
