Should be plastered on cars, walls, billboards, bulletin boards.
It should be written in the dirt found on the back of trailers and any other surface that will provide the opportunity.
It should be on baseball caps, tshirts, grocery bags.
It should be scratched into the sand at the beach and written in chalk on the sidewalk.
It should be printed up on business cards and left between the pages of airline magazines, on the counters on diners and on the seats of trains, buses and cabs.
It should become as ubiquitous a phrase as "kilroy was here."
It should become a movement to expose and educate....
And while we're doing that we should commandeer BRANDON 2024! as a slogan...

(794 posts)1970's? It was a joke to get a cluster of people standing in a knot on a street corner or campus quad; they would all murmur, look up, and point to the sky.
The goal was to see how many people would stop, stare, ask "What's going on?" Good, clean fun.

(3,815 posts)"Don't Look Up" would be a great retort to the "Let's Go Brandon" cultists.

(6,543 posts)Im already sick of hearing and seeing it, its not much better than a left wing maga slogan, or lets go, Brandon. We need action, not cutesy movie references.

(6,543 posts)I've been on the pro-environment bandwagon since reading Silent Spring in the late 60s. How about you?

(3,622 posts)Then imagine the effect it will have on those less informed than you...
As to my pro-environment credentials...not the point.

(6,543 posts)At worst, it will be a total turn-off to those who need to be paying attention. It is as immature as Lets Go, Brandon, juvenile coding, for what will be interpreted as funk off, idiots, which is actually how Im seeing it used. Sorry, but I do not support acting like the other side, no matter how tempting, nor how self-satisfying it may feel to some people.
