Yes, tweets from these folks made it to air on CNN last night. It's kinda hilarious.

CNN just got Bart Simpsoned.

A Twitter troll, armed with a small collection of fake accounts with ridiculously stupid names, managed to get CNN to fill its screen’s ticker on New Year’s Eve with tweets from “Ben Dover,” “Mike Oxlong” and “Dixie Normus.”

Meanwhile, what may be two other trolls got airtime for messages from “Anita Blackman” and “Deeko Giganto.”

CNN aired the tweets as scrolling text at the bottom of the screen during its live countdown to the end of 2021, which was hosted by journalist Anderson Cooper and TV personality Andy Cohen.

These are so obvious, I don't know how they slipped through unless everybody was hammered.

Every few minutes they had new tweets by the same "person" who just tweeted 10 minutes ago. OK it's a joke but some of the fake tweets were not subtle, they were borderline offensive. I got tired of Andy Cohen and turned them off to watch the fireworks without the politics on NBC (or maybe it was CBS.)

Receptionist back in 1976. I was the voice through the whole company. Two calls I got that still haunt me today. Could you page Mike Hunt for extension 316 and the other that wasn’t so bad was paging Allen Wrench

This always comes to mind when I’m working the automated responses
