A year ago today, Trump committed a crime. Why hasn't he been arrested already?

One year ago today (January 2, 2021), Trump called Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger and pressured him to change the state's 2020 vote totals. That alone is a crime. Why the hell hasn't Trump already been charged?

A-- He's done a lot of other things and they have to add it all up

B-- We have never before prosecuted a former President for things done while President. These things take time to get right.

when there is virtually no chance of getting a conviction unless it’s possible to exclude all white wingers from jury.

Not sure a failed prosecution is worth it long-term.

It has to be done even if there is no conviction. He cannot skate, or it's all over for democracy, justice and belief in the system.

Just how quickly should the new Fulton County DA, who is responsible for all prosecutions in that county, have moved to indict Trump?

Do you want a rapid indictment that ends in acquittal, or do you have the patience to wait for the DA to craft an airtight case that results in conviction?

Of all the potential prosecutions Trump faces, the one in Fulton county seems, IMO, to be the crime he is most likely to be indicted for as well as convicted.

I use mockery to express my exasperation at the uninformed impatience of outraged “miscarriage of Justice!” Trump posts.

We agree that these are serious matters that will likely affect the survival of democracy.

The majority MAJORITY of the GOP believes that trump won and the Democratic Party stole the election.

These people will do what trump or DeSantis or whoever it is tells them to do and it will start in November of THIS YEAR when most if not all red state election officials or politicians dont DARE certify or count the votes of ANY election they lose, because of the pressure that will be on and the officials they are already installing to do just that.

I believe Garland and Prez Biden are afraid to indict a prez because it has never been done before and they fear the massive civil unrest if they do, and there would be.

But the alternative is an almost certain end of America.

Now some of us S I G H have been signaling this warning for YEARS but we were summarily dismissed, silenced when we would bring up just how bad these people are and how dangerous.

Watching MSNBC yesterday or the day before and African American host in tears at the thought of what is around the corner. NOT NORMAL times.

You have GENERALS warning that the military may not be on our side. Jesus.

I thing the vast majority of Dems don't realize the window of opportunity is closing quickly.

They will focus on the impatience in taking down tRump and ignore the bigger message. It ain't about tRump, it is about democracy.

Did you ever think, the powers which protect this country do not know this? Did you ever think, the powers which are making sure this part of the globe remain peaceful and prosperous, do not know this? Let us allow them the benefit of the doubt. I believe they are waiting for the whack-a-moll to spring up and show itself.
I am sure they've got this, and far more than we think we know.
Otherwise, screw the whole Shebang.
