but it's still scary, so many hugs to you. You've probably already been advised on this by your brother, but it can be handy (and very reassuring) to have one of those pulse oximeters on hand to monitor 02 levels. You can get them off Amazon or at a local pharmacy. Does your mom have access to MA treatments where she is? According to my sister (an MD) there is one MA treatment that works for omicron, but where my mom is located, it's in such short supply that she didn't qualify. You have to be actively immunocompromised to qualify.

Be sure your mom takes it easy and doesn't try to do to much too quickly even when she feels better. My mom felt much better by day 6 and 7, but I think she overdid it, and she woke up day 8 feeling much worse. I was so scared she was taking a turn for the worse that sometimes happens with covid in the second week. However, after another day or two of quiet rest, she was feeling much better.

She was in the hospital for 5 days, but now she is home.

Of course, she is fully vaccinated and has her booster.

Mild initial symptoms turned into pneumonia. Died after being on a vent.

Even if initial symptoms are mild, and she is vaxxed and boosted.
Can you get her antibodies or Pfizer's pills?
