When I think of the pathetic, moronic, bow-tied dweeb on Crossfire, our infamous simpleton, Tucker Carlson, being humiliated by Jon Stewart, and see him now in a position of influence on Fux News, all I can do is shake my head in utter disgust. The fact that he has such a large attentive audience completely destroys my faith in people.

(182,604 posts)When OReilly (the flagship program and big reason for Foxs ratings) got canned they put JESSE Watters in that time slot. Ratings didnt really dip much. Then they had Tucker who I think just filled in here and there got the slot. Again, the viewers watched regardless of who was there.
How Tucker has used this position is another story. Mostly going as far off the racist end as possible. His long time collaborator and head writer had to quit because he was a regular poster on Nazi websites. Hannity is the same - he was there on day one just to have something to put on the air. Theyve bounced Hannity around in prime time several times because for their audience it just doesnt matter.
Basically it doesnt matter who they put on at 8, their viewers tune it to get what theyve heard all day once again confirmed.
