I believe that AG Garland said what I had hoped he would say about pursuing "all" who participated

know January 6th, "even those who were not present". He is not an orator, but I believe he is a talented attorney and administrator and a dedicated public servant.

He did not say things the way I would have said them, but I believe he meant what he said.

And, into the bargain, he was appointed by my party leader, President Joe Biden, and that counts for a lot.

wants blood and now. MG's calm, reasoned explanation of the probe to date was appropriate and encouraging but the DU impatiente wants video of trump's limp body hanging Mussolini like from a NY light stanchion.

Yes there was an assault on Democracy revolving around January 6, 2021. Some of it was an attack on the capital, other aspects concerned an attempt to throw the election to the House of Representatives. Some of the organizing for both preceded January 6th. Garland seems to promise to go after all of that on all levels.

Fine, but there were other aspects of the assault on Democracy non related to the events of January 6th specifically. There was Trumps attempt to falsify the vote total in Georgia for example. And efforts to get Michigan election officials to throw out the vote totals in Detroit. And the scheme to use the Justice Department to send out false claims to swing state officials that massive fraud seemed to have occurred in those states that should stop state officials from certificating vote totals. My fear is that Garland is steering clear of all that, and just focusing on events involving the January 6 insurrection and efforts to pressure Pence to not accept swing state electors as legitimate.
