I watched 5 elem age kids & 3 sets of parents at nearby bus stop this morning. ONE kid had "mask" - cloth - looked like a bandana.

Stay safe! 😷

A couple of days before Christmas (the last time I stepped foot in a store), I visited a grocery store, a hardware store, a gift shop and a liquor store, all within a half mile of each other. In the first three stores almost everybody was wearing a mask; in the liquor store only about half - and all the non-maskers were men. I don't know if conclusions can be drawn from that or not. I'm glad to see the mandate return anyhow; and fortunately, here in the People's Republic of Minneapolis there are not a whole lot of raving MAGAts.

I've actually heard the "I'm abigstronv man" bs regarding mask refusal.

I can only hope karma was listening.

You are fortunate to live somewhere where people think & read.

With regard to people wearing masks, which does reduce the spread.

To a large degree, most people will wear a mask when it's mandated. Of course there will always be maskholes who refuse, and many who won't bother to wear one if it's only recommended.
But when it's required most people will comply.

I've seen this repeatedly in my retail job over the last 2 years, and especially since the mandates were lifted. People coming in without one see that we are wearing them, and ask if they need to wear one. Most say they're vaxed and now boosted, willing to put one on if we require it.
I've also noticed that whenever covid cases rise, more people voluntarily wear masks. But a lot of people need to be told they must wear one before they put one on!

No mask mandates yet in my red region of NC, but hopefully our democratic governor will put one into effect.

Went to get her hair cut here in Chicago on Tuesday and they required proof of vaccination! Luckily she had a photo of her card on her phone as we didn’t expect them to require it. We thought it was only restaurants, bars, and entertainment venues. It’s so nice being in a place where people wear masks and require vaccinations. We do have the occasional idiot that only covers their mouth and not their nose. But, at least, here in the city, everyone wears a mask.

St. Paul’s requirement similarly applies to all city-licensed businesses and city-controlled facilities, when social distancing of at least 6 feet is not maintained.

Who here thinks you're OK indoors as long as you are more than 6 feet apart, maskless, in the era of Omicron, when there are reports, backed up by security camera footage, of someone infecting someone on the other side of the hallway, when neither stepped outside during the entire days-long period (they were in quarantine) and merely opened their doors (at different times).

Two of MANY examples (there was another case like this). Including with fully vaxxed people. And boosted too in many cases.

Not sure regular cloth masks do much good with Omicron either.

But it makes it look like they are "taking action".
