at the TPUSA Reawaken America rally in CA about a month before she died. Charlie Kirk killed her.

She was duped by people and driven to believe nonsense and paid with her life.

she paid the price.

But I think that she was a victim of narratives fed to her by more powerful people than her. People who are protecting themselves while using people like her as useful tools. Just as my sister in law (who won't vaccinate her children) is a victim of targeted social media articles about vaccines causing infertility. She's SHOULD read past those articles, of course. But they effectively stopped her from choosing the healthier path for her kids.

my own youngest daughter. She’s made a willful decision to choose garbage information she knows full well does not meet any standard of logic or science. She’s scared of needles but understands this is not an acceptable reason to endanger others and herself, so she hitched her wagon to TikTok. This was her decision.

“They” did not stop your SIL from making the decision to thoughtlessly ignore the public good and gamble the health of her children. She did that. Unless she is cognitively disabled, which I assume you would have mentioned, this was her choice. She was not “stopped” from doing the right thing. She decided not to.

And I find it interesting that there isn't fury at people driving the anti-vaccine narrative.

Of course people find things to uphold their world views/fears/etc. My sister in law has always been anti Big Pharma, and this led her to valuing certain sources of information that affirm her biases.

Yes, I find those people less culpable than people PURPOSEFULLY DRIVING bad information for clicks/likes/money/fame/influence.

I also love my sister in law, but I don't like her very much right now. She's dug in her heels to the point where she is defensive and lashes out when anybody expresses concern about the pandemic. She's suffering consequences in that she's losing her relationship with family members and friends over this. I believe she deserves those consequences.

What I don't think she deserves is to watch her children suffer serious or long term effects from covid. She doesn't deserve to suffer, go on a ventilator, or die. I am angry with her for her choices and the alienation it has caused. But I am also angry at the people who spread the misinformation that she embraced.

I am truly sorry you're experiencing the same thing with your daughter. It sucks.

I also think that TPUSA provided an anti-vaccine MAGA platform for this women to spread her misinformation at. A rally of mostly unvaccinated people. So, yes, I think Charlie Kirk is culpable for her death and would love to see him suffer some legal ramifications.

excuse it by their upbringing or culture in modern times - so do I hold those who choose disinformation and endanger themselves and others.

Make no mistake, I am repulsed by the purveyors of the lies that harm us all and hold them also in the lowest of contempt.

President Biden spoke today of “lies conceived and spread for profit and power.” That is what we face on many fronts, but we each decide if we will turn to the truth, or plead ignorance and choose the lie.

Let’s say you ask me to take you to the bank at 10:15 tomorrow morning. When I get to your house you jump in the car wearing a ski mask with an AK strapped over your shoulder.

When you finish your business at the bank with one person dead and $7 million in gold and diamonds in a suitcase, I will be responsible for the death of that person and the felony theft. I will face the same punishment even though I did not pull the trigger, because although you didn’t tell me you were robbing the bank and might kill someone - reasonably, I should have known it was likely. I chose to drive you there. I am responsible for the decision I made that resulted in the death of another.
