(12,151 posts)Im tempted, but I like to think Im helping just a little bit by getting them to burn a few of seconds each time one of their robo-dealers calls my landline number before I block it. Every time I see RNCC on the caller ID, I lunge for the Call Block button. I must have blocked them 10 times at least. Maybe they think anybody who still has a landline phone is likely a geezer who listens to hate radio all day.
At one point, they were even sending me paper fundraising appeals via snail mail. Those went straight to recycling after removing name & address.
Hell, I even got some crap from the former First Grifter Lady a couple of times. I was halfway hoping shed send something trying to get me to buy her hat, but no such luck. They must have finally done a scrub to cross-reference against voting records.

I consider anyone who calls and doesn't know me to be a bullseye handed to me!

"Just what was the nature of your relationship with the deceased?"
"What is your location right this minute? In other words if we need to talk to you again regarding this matter, how do we contact you?"
"We have already notified the police at your location that we may want to ask you more questions. They may come to your location looking for you to help us so I really hope that you are telling me the truth right now."
"Again, how well did you know the deceased? Have you ever transacted any business with them? Did you loan them money? As you are probably aware, the deceased was a known gambler and may have been in debt to a number of loan sharks, are you trying to extort money or otherwise collect on one of those debts?"
