The damage done to everyone in this country and the attempts to heal the citizens on the part of the Democrats are stunning things to see. I've known Republicans in the age of vociferous, sometimes enraged disagreements. This is nothing like that. This is passive acquiescence to an attempt at authoritarian takeover.

I hope out hope. But, like Jimmy Carter, I am worried.
