I have never felt prouder to be a Democrat than today

Listening to our Senators sharing their stories of January 6, and linking it to the Voting Rights legislation being blocked.

Seeing the photo of the young aides carrying the electoral vote boxes during the insurrection.

The tributes to the heroes that defended our nation that day.

I am overwhelmed with gratitude and respect.

But I get what you mean.

Are the tables suddenly slowly turning? Is Trump finally being held to account?

We'll see.

When he came out on that stage as President with Michelle, and those precious little girls. It is burned into my brain.

I hope this is the turning point.

He's had me tearing up more than once. I think he's concluding now, but if you get a chance, go back and listen.

He has a way of making you viscerally feel the sting of discrimination and injustice suffered by African Americans in such a way that you just cannot allow it to go on.

This was a magnificent set of speeches. Listened to every one of them.

What a stellar line up of public servants.
