MSNBC is on in the background.
Reed from NY is bloviating about the 74 million, as if 74 were somehow greater than 81, and minimizing the insurrectionists as small, vocal, extremist minority acting on their own, and that TFG was exactly the kind of disruptive "leader" the GOP needs. He says there is no Big Lie, and that the lead up to J6 is irrelevant.
Um, no.
A sore loser hired hack attorneys to comb through the law to find a loophole so he wouldn't have to face consequences for lying and grifting his ass off.
Never heard so many old whiny crybabies stunted in toddlerhood.
Call them out for the cult they are.

(9,949 posts)Tom Reed who is not running for re-election was on Chuck Todd.
Todd was fairly fierce trying to pin him down on 1) why he would support Trump if he's the GQP candidate and 2) was the 2020 election fraudulent.
Reed slipped-slided through some contorted logic but sounded just as bad and incoherent as you would imagine.

(2,165 posts)instead of coming together as a country after watching an appalling move by a bunch of degenerates, we stay separated. News stations refuse to call this an insurrection along with other groups in this country and that includes AG Garland.
How do we unite together and share this land if we can't even come together with what happened on January 6, 2021?
Give me hope... anyone?
I'm never coming together with those fascists. I want them brought to heel. All 74 million of Trump's voters and his 'circle' -
There's no absolution with me - especially if they remain committed to MF45's lost cause.
Like the 50 GOP Senators who refuse to ensure the franchise is extended to people who will not ever vote for them . .. no need to come together with people who deny folks who have been for 400 years - are real Americans.

(2,165 posts)we shouldn't have had 50 gop senators refuse to ensure the franchise. It should have been a time for togetherness.

(31,089 posts)Agreed.
But I keep reminding myself - the GOP has planned this since November 1981.
They saw how effective Tom Kean Sr. was in NJ - using Roger Stone's goon force.
Their goal/objective is absolute power, and I do believe that MANY House and Senate GOP officials truly believe that white Americans are going to lose their rights . . . that includes them. The only way those people think they can stop it? Is to disenfranchise tens of millions of Americans who don't vote for Republicans.
I'm not surprised. That's why McConnell is supporting Walker in GA. He believes if he can get one of his personalities elected - he can control another.
