So my partner's coworker's entire family has Covid

I posted about them last week.

The coworker finally tested positive after being mildly ill for a week(sniffles and a headache). She was vaccinated around November under threat of losing her hospital job. Her two vaccinated adult children also have very mild symptoms.

The coworker’s sister is at home very sick. She is likely patient zero in the family and likely infected 90 year old mother.

The 90 year old unvaccinated mother was admitted last night in the ER with “confusion” - I feel bad for her because she probably just listened to the other idiots in the family. The smooth brains “did their research” and determined mom was too old to get vaccinated. This may be the end of her.

The coworker’s niece and her husband have been the sickest. The niece was admitted to the hospital and had to have a cesarean section to deliver the 8 month pregnancy. The baby is in the NICU(negative so far). She felt like her bones were breaking. The husband has lung scaring. He felt like he was being stabbed in the eyes. They are both now pro vaccination. “Anyone who says this is the flu is a liar!” They are malignant trumpanzees.

Sooooooo…..The coworker has been partners in crime on Facebook with my partner’s malignant trumpanzee antivax sister. They have been trading “research” with each other for the last year. So the coworker called my partner’s sister to tell her to get vaxxed. Well that didn’t go over too well. She didn’t want to acknowledge that all the vaccinated people had mild symptoms. She says the vax is no good because they still got Covid. Idiot.

Sad but it is the case. The remainder of this wretched pandemic is entirely on Zuckerberg.

She also organized “trump trains” during the election. So there’s that…

What an apt and delightful description. I will be using that.

It’s stunning the lengths to which morally janky assholes will go to protect their investment in intellectual bankruptcy.

their minds that much. The collective anti-vax bullshit on the internet is amazing. Although not the original plan, using AI to cleanup the internet in some manner does not really seem such a bad idea these days. In the early years in tech we though it would be free and clear of all regulation, free for all, say what you want. I guess many things have proven given free-reign, many will sink the ship.

The sickest one (though he's finally getting better after like 10 days out sick) is the youngest, probably 38 is my guess. He claims to be 2X vaxxed and I don't have a real reason to doubt him other than he drives a huge jacked up truck, and totally lurvs his gunz.

Another is a libertarian (but leans liberal on many issues), I've never asked his vax status, but suspect he is vaxxed. He's also been in/out the past couple weeks. He's about 45 I think.

Another lady, around 55, and I don't know her politics but she said she's 2X vaxxed as well and I don't really doubt her. Her and hubby are struggling but doing okay. Had a call with her today and she was coughing pretty good when called upon to speak for very long.

My company only has like 20 people in it, so 3 people concurrently sick is a lot. And at LEAST one more of the 20 was pretty sick w/the Rona a couple weeks ago ... AND I actually think one MORE person had it, and is suffering from long covid right now. This guy is SUPER private so I don't really know for sure, but he doesn't 'sound' like he used to in the scrums we have every day, going back like 6 months now.

And everyone is working from home. None of these people have kids living at home either.

C19 is REALLY going around RN, but everyone (so far) has lived.

The 90 year old mom now has bi-lateral pneumonia and is still confused. Not looking good.

Of course now the coworker is blaming herself and I can’t say I disagree. My partner is very upset because they are very close and he knows the mom.

and her entire family got COVID right before Thanksgiving. All were vaccinated, were scheduled for boosters but didn't make it.
