Because thats what it smells like to me.

(58,785 posts)As for what you smell, I'm guessing that's Cheney's own authoritarianism.
Me.
(35,454 posts)I think he's making a point about those messing his daughter about. I would be concerned if I was one of those as he still has influence.

So, yes, its just you.

(37,158 posts)Politically speaking, his crimes have already been forgotten. At least among republicans, which are the only people who count for him.
And as far as he's concerned, he doesn't think he committed any.

She thinks she can inherit whats left of the GOP after the MAGATS get their comeuppance.
I dont agree, but I think this is her play.

(15,325 posts)..& those companies & local businesses & the State coffers that flourished & by the Oil business Cheny gave them, has now turned their back to Liz.
In State Politics, that's a big damned betrayal.
He stands in the Chamber with Liz today as a big Fk You to the State he flooded with cash & jobs & laws that made it happen.
Wyoming would be nothing but a sagebrush plains, a pricey Mountain town for the elite & its State budget would have looked pretty thin over the yrs.
Its a beautiful endless expanse to view, but revenue would have looked far different if not for the industry gifted by Dick Cheney.
So Wyoming, rejecting Liz Cheney was a choice that comes with repercussions, because Dick Cheney knows the dirt on every Republican who ever rubbed elbows with him.
This is personal.
Can't wait to see the 1st 5 of the 100 legislators Liz will take part in charging & removing from ever running for their seat again.
Like an old mob boss, Dick Cheney showed up today for a reason. This was to support Liz & deliver a personal message to the Republucan Party in Wyoming
